Air-Operated Diaphragm Pump

Always up to date!

Available for alkaline etching machines

The experienced design engineers from SCHMID systematically work on the optimization of our machines. Within this framework upgrades are regularly developed, which are completely compatible with your machines and can be built in by our service technicians – an investment that pays. Take advantage of this! Increase your yield on a long-lasting basis!

Previous Application

Upgrade: Air-operated diaphragm pump for level-controlled draining

Advantages

With the previous alkaline etching process the problem in feed and bleed processes is that part of the freshly fed etchant (replenisher) may drain off into the overflow before it can be used up in the process solution. This results in a correspondingly higher use of chemistry.

Through the use of a pneumatic membrane pump, a part of the spent etching solution is pumped out of the module sump before the fresh etchant (replenisher) is added. With feed and bleed processes this prevents the fresh etchant from draining off into the overflow, thus reducing chemistry consumption.

  • Reduced chemistry consumption
  • No direct overflow of fresh etching chemistry

The self-priming pumps are insensitive to the intake of air. In addition, due to the compact design of the pump for level-controlled draining it can be easily installed later. For systems with PLC control an adaptation of the visualization is required.

Your production line of yesterday may soon be a
production line of tomorrow. Since after the targeted intervention of our experts it will be state-of-the-art, and in fact at a significantly lower price than a new acquisition. With our upgrades you can maximize your output, increase the quality and expand your product
portfolio.
