Upgrade: ESD-transport for input, inspection, dryer and output module

Advantages

Uncontrolled static discharges of the PCB impair the process reliability in so-called dry modules such as input and inspection module, dryer and output module. Sensitive components can be damaged by static charges and subsequently rejects are generated.

The installation of an ESD transport prevents uncontrolled static discharges of the printed circuit board, which otherwise have a negative effect on the components and result in rejects.

The ESD-transport increases the process reliability, in particular in case of embedded components.

  • Prevention of uncontrolled static discharges
  • Avoidance of rejects
  • Process reliability, especially with embedded components
  • More effective than an antistatic strip, as the charges are discharged directly at the point of origin
  • In contrast to antistatic bars the ESD transport is more resistant against diluted chemicals and can also be used at higher temperatures (dryers).

In order to avoid hard discharges, parts and components of the machine that come into contact with the component are electrically dissipative (105 Ω ≤ surface resistance ≤109 Ω). The ESD transport is patent pending.
