Regarding the Coronavirus (“COVID-19”), SCHMID has taken appropriate measures to cope with the situation, ensuring a safe and effective business environment for our stakeholders, also relating to our supply chain and operations in global plants.

SCHMID has activated the Pandemic Preparedness and Response Plan to implement protective measures, protocols for our manufacturing site management and employees. We put most of our employees into home office and reduced the manpower in manufacturing by 50% to minimize the number of employees in the work space. With these measures we can act in case of a positive corona case, by exchanging the teams and minimizing the impact and the risk of a complete shut-down of the site. Beside this we are in very close contact with our vendors to keep the supply chain running as best as possible.

SCHMID does its best to minimize the impacts to our customers’ business due to this highly dynamic situation.

The well-being of our employees and their families is our top priority, SCHMID takes high efforts in our commitment to the highest standards of safety and quality for our employees, customers, suppliers, and business partners.

Let us work together to overcome this global crisis, we are convinced that it will strengthen our partnership today and in the future.
